Feb 20, 2018 at 16:20 | comment | added | Camilo Rada | I think that perhaps the most important point is missing here: The fact that the hot interior drives tectonics and volcanism, that are an essential part of the carbon cycle negative feedback (weathering-volcanism) that is thought to be responsible of keeping Earth's temperature in the range of liquid water for millions of years (Faint young Sun paradox), therefore allowing life to evolve in a relatively stable environment for billions of years. | |
