I recently purchased a home, in the fireplace surround that I tore down were several rocks (quartz) that I thought were unique.

I am looking for identification help and if they were worth anything. Most larger than a soft ball and some are larger than a football, but not as pink.

Any help identifying is helpful.

It's definitely rose quartz. $4-$15 US dollars per pound. from a quick google search.

I'd go with rose quartz, partly based on its previous use in your description.

Check it for any cleavages (which would rule out quartz) just to help confirm. Kunzite can look like this but I don't see that being used for construction! Ha!
