I found this light colored orange rock with white parts on the road in the Compostela Valley area of the Philippines. The back of this stone has a rough surface and is not shiny. Still, there are parts in the back that are crystal-like similar to crystals you can see on the front. I tried to upload more photos but found there was a limit size.

Can anyone identify it?

(Other photos were at https://fedrefalbor.smugmug.com/My-First-Gallery/ but the link no longer appears to work)

  • $\begingroup$ Can you take a photo with focus on crystals? That looks similar to either quartz or calcite and I cannot tell that from this photo. $\endgroup$ – Gabija Oct 23 '17 at 14:20

$\begingroup$ You just put additional photos on some generic 'image hosting' site, and edit the links into your question. Someone will more reputation will then edit them in. $\endgroup$ – Jan Doggen Oct 24 '17 at 15:44

$\begingroup$ And if you write "near a mining city" then at least give us a name + what they mine there. Otherwise you might as well not mention it $\endgroup$ – Jan Doggen Oct 24 '17 at 15:46
