I have no clue its origins. I believe it is from somewhere in the USA.

Your rock appears to be a cryptocrystalline variety of quartz called chalcedony, specifically agate or jasper. Based on the color and shape of your rock, I would say it is Arizona petrified wood, likely from the Chinle formation. This is the same rock formation that produced the petrified wood in Petrified national Forest in Arizona, USA.

The colors red and yellow with black toward the edges of the wood are typical for Chinle Formation petrified wood. Here is google image search for Arizona petrified wood link.
