How can we obtain an accurate estimate of the pressure of the hydrogen and helium primordial atmosphere of Earth just after it was formed? I was admonished by a user on Astronomy Stack for saying it couldn't be done, especially as H2 and He4 were not the only gases in the primordial atmosphere. My critic refused to say how it could be done, so is there anybody here who can tell me? I emphasise an accurate estimate, not just a wild guess which anybody could make.

  • $\begingroup$ I was criticised and down marked on Astronomy Stack for saying I couldn't do it because there were too many unknowns which made it an impossible task, but it's beginning to look as though nobody else can do it either, thus proving me right!.
