There are all kinds of "The Most..." around the world:

  • The tallest place on earth is Mt. Everest in the China/Nepal border.

  • The lowest place on earth is in the Dead Sea in Israel / Jordan

  • The longest river, the Nile, running through some countries in Africa.

  • The tallest waterfall is the Angel Falls in Venezuela.

And so on.

Russia is the largest country in the world - 17.1 million km².

Theoretically, it should have at least some "The Biggest/Tallest/Longest/Coldest..." places on earth.

I remember that once there was a BBC show that stated that the coldest place on earth is somewhere in Russia (I guess they meant besides Antarctica).

According to here, lake Baikal in Russia is the World's largest & deepest lake.

What are the other "The Most" geographical records that Russia holds?
