As I understand it, the UV index measures the amount of UV light that would hit a horizontal surface in a given location at a given time. But as a person, I'm more interested in the amount of UV light that would hit a human body. I realize this is difficult to calculate as a person might be standing, seated, lying down, etc. I'd still be interested in any attempts out there.

Has anyone tried to measure this, or anything similar? Heck, even knowing the amount of UV light that would hit a sphere could be interesting.
