Milankovitch cycles does affect climate on Earth. There are several cycles.

Scientifists of Quaternary's climate evolution -and Pleistocene in general- strongly correlate Milankovitch cycles with glaciar/interglaciar periods.  
Other factors, such as volcanic events, affect climate, but changes in the magnitude of solar radiation is a well known climatic variability generator.
