I'm the author of a worldwide bestselling reference book (Singlehanded Sailing: Thoughts, Tips, Techniques & Tactics) and a new novel about two brothers and what it means to grow up male in the 1950's and 60's (My Brother Chuck). Mostly I'm a financial analyst and lawyer who works as an executive in the Hydrogen energy business.

I've had many hobbies over my life, from woodworking to whitewater kayaking to sailing (on my boat Foolish Muse) to playing five different instruments very, very poorly. Right now my hobby (obsession) is to figure out what causes gravity without knowing any of the calculus that is so absolutely necessary for the study of astrophysics.
