Tachylite
I am presently an MSc. candidate in the School of Geography and Earth Science at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, having previously obtained an Honours BSc in Earth Science. I have been passionate about geology and the natural sciences for the majority of my life, and seek to further my knowledge in all things Earth Science/Geology/Enviro Science through educating, and being educated in equal measure.
My research is focused on chemostratigraphic analysis of Late Holocene paleosols and paleoshorelines, using XRF, micropaleontology, radiocarbon age modelling, and a slew of other proxies to, in short, paint a very pretty picture of how water goes up and down in a lake. Although my heart is rooted in earth science, I have specialized in applying my geological skill-set to aid in answering questions of an archaeological nature.
