Feb 15, 2016 at 11:33 comment added Charlie Jiang @Wolfgang Bangerth: Do you have difficulty to understand my question? I did not ask for people's opinion. I asked to show me the experiment proof of greenhouse effect. In simulated atmospheres, higher concentration of CO2 will cause temperature higher.
Feb 15, 2016 at 11:20 comment added Charlie Jiang @Wolfgang Bangerth: Please see my comment above. No one disputes that CO2 absorbs radiation energy. That does not necessary mean it can cause green house effect. My body absorbs radiation energy too.
Feb 14, 2016 at 18:29 comment added Wolfgang Bangerth @CharlieJiang and Barry Carter: Lots and lots of experiments. Google "absorption spectrum co2" for just a few of those.
Feb 13, 2016 at 16:51 comment added Charlie Jiang Pont: Arrhenius' absorption figures did not need to derive from Very and Langley's infrared observations of the moon. He can measure it on earth. So he can do the same for other gases.
Feb 13, 2016 at 15:33 comment added Pont @CharlieJiang Did you read the link provided by farrenthorpe? It cites Arrhenius' absorption figures derived from Very and Langley's infrared observations of the moon. The full paper is available online, and linked from the Wikipedia article.
Feb 13, 2016 at 13:29 comment added Charlie Jiang farrenthorpe: The question is about experiment prove, not theory. I have read all kinds of theories out there.
Feb 13, 2016 at 4:36 comment added f.thorpe They've been doing them for over 100 years. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svante_Arrhenius#Greenhouse_effect
Feb 13, 2016 at 3:21 comment added user967 I just skimmed those pages, but have there been actual laboratory experiments demonstrating the greenhouse effect?
