If one knows the wind directions, say the wind direction is obtained from NOAA GFS at the different mandatory altitudes. CanHow can one relate the wind direction to the bearing? Is there any potential problem or limitation of this approach?
The wind direction is computed using the u and v components of the wind velocity. I use Metpy to compute the wind direction.
